Riley Newman Riley Newman is a research associate with Beacon, beginning in early 2008. Originally a Californian, he completed undergraduate degrees in economics and international affairs with distinction at the University of Washington. From there he went on to receive a masters ('MPhil') in applied economics at Cambridge University (Trinity Hall), returning to the US in fall 2007. He has worked at UN headquarters in New York, for the UN Office of Drugs and Crime, and has served in the US Coast Guard Reserves since shortly after September 11th.
