Melanie Steger

Melanie Steger is a research associate at Beacon Economics. Prior to joining Beacon, Ms. Steger held positions as a researcher, teaching assistant, and graduate assistant at the University of San Francisco. As part of her Master’s thesis, she collaborated with the largest microfinance organization in Ghana and implemented surveys using a random sample size of 1001 participants. Her academic awards include the USF Hilary Williams Ford Award and the USF Merit Scholarship. She is fluent in written and oral German and has worked as an English teacher at Sprach und Schülerzentrum in Bad Homburg, Germany. She holds an M.A. in international and development economics from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in economics and sociology from Wheaton College.
